The White Bear Lake Area Schools offer a choice of K-5 programs:
- For our Neighborhood Schools, students live within designated attendance boundaries that cover all areas in the White Bear Lake Area School District. You may confirm your neighborhood school assignment at the District map, or by contacting Michelle Igo at the District Center, 651-407-7674. You may choose a school outside your neighborhood attendance area, but normally you would need to provide transportation for your student. In addition, all White Bear Lake Area Schools are open to students from outside the school district under the provisions of the State of Minnesota open enrollment laws. We welcome any families interested in our schools to contact us for more information.
- The Half-Day-Every-Day Kindergarten option is a free kindergarten program offered for all kindergarten students in the District.
- Kindergarten Plus is an option available to families in which students are involved in a full-day program with a certified, licensed kindergarten teacher.
- Kindergarten Extended Day is a kindergarten option for parents who want their child to attend their school of choice for the half-day kindergarten program and have high quality child-care for the remainder of the day.
- Matoska International IB World School is a program offered to all students in the White Bear Lake Area School District. The program is an International Baccalaureate (IB) world school. The District provides transportation from any point in the school district for students enrolled at this school. Learn more at www.whitebear.k12.mn.us/mis/index.html.
Middle School
The middle schools offer world language and fine arts opportunities at each grade level, along with instruction time in core classes that is among the highest in the area.
