Middle School Athletics


 

Athletic opportunities are available to middle school students through several sources. These include the Community Services and Recreation Department, High School varsity athletic program, and various local athletic associations.

Community Services and Recreation Department Programs

The following activities are available through the Community Services and Recreation Department and occur in the season listed at both Sunrise and Central Middle Schools.

  • Football - 8th Grade (Fall)
  • Girls Volleyball – (Fall)
  • Cross Country – Boys and Girls (Fall)
  • Tennis – Girls (Fall)/Boys (Spring)
  • Wrestling (Winter)
  • Track and Field - Boys/Girls (Spring)
  • Golf - Boys/Girls (Spring)

The following activities are available for middle school 7th and 8th graders. These programs are offered through the White Bear Lake Area High School varsity athletic program.  Call Karen Larson 651-773-6206 for more information.

  • Girls Swimming and Diving (Fall)
  • Boys and Girls Alpine and Nordic Skiing (Winter)
