The mission of the White Bear Lake Area School District
Community Services and Recreation Department is to provide a wide range of
services and opportunities that enhance the quality of life for all members of
the Independent School District 624 community which consist of all or part of
the following communities: Birchwood, Gem Lake, Hugo, Lino Lakes,
Maplewood, North Oaks, Vadnais Heights, White Bear Lake and White Bear Lake
Township.

Outdoor Rink Update - Because
of the unseasonably warm weather, we will be focusing all of our efforts on
the three outdoor rinks at North Campus High School. We will attempt to
have skateable ice by Monday, January 16. For more information or

Daddy
& Daughter Dance -
Join us for our annual Daddy & Daughter Dance on Friday, February 10, designed for children up
through 6th grade. Invite your dad to a very special dance! Dad not
available? Bring your uncle, grandpa, older adult brother or favorite family
friend as your escort. Dress is casual to dressy. Party Unit will get the
party started and keep it going with all the best family-oriented hits.
Light snacks and punch are included in the ticket price. Please bring clean
shoes to wear on the gym floor. $30 in advance, $35 at the door.

The White Bear Lake Area Schools’ Early Childhood
Program provides services, classes and support for families with
children from birth to Kindergarten. Check out the
2012-2013 Registration Guide. |

Extended Day for Four Year Olds - The Extended Day Program will be
offering a
program for four year old children starting in September at Lakeaires,
Otter Lake, and Hugo
Elementary Schools. This year before kindergarten program is designed to help
children prepare to enter kindergarten with the skills and behaviors necessary
to be successful. Children who are four years old by September 1, 2011, and are
completely toilet trained are eligible to enroll. Children will work on
listening skills, personal and social development, language and literacy,
thinking and math skills through guided play, group time and social interaction. Registration forms are available in the
Community Services Office at the White Bear Lake Area Schools District Center
or from Extended Day staff at Lakeaires, Otter Lake and Hugo Elementary Schools. |

Program Closings:
If inclement weather forces the White Bear Lake Area Schools to
close or dismiss early, all Community Services and Recreation programs will be
