Welcome to Birch Lake Elementary School!Birch Lake is one of nine elementary schools in the White Bear School District. One of our really special characteristics is that we are the only circular building within the district. We are a neighborhood school located right next to beautiful Birch Lake in a well-established, friendly, diverse community rich in traditions. Birch Lake combines experience with passion, commitment, rigor and vision to create an excellent learning environment that is welcoming and safe for everyone. The staff is united and student-centered to help each child achieve their fullest potential. Birch Lake students exemplify White Bear Lake's standards of excellence. Whether sharing exciting discoveries in the classroom, reaching a personal best, or developing friendships on the playground, they are constantly learning and growing while enjoying school. Our Birch Lake Families and volunteers are an essential part of our school community. They give continuously and truly are our partners in preparing our students to be successful in an ever changing global world. We have many spectacular partnerships at our school. Since the fall of 2006, MacPhail has partnered with Birch Lake to provide an amazing range of musical opportunities for our students. We are also very excited about our newly formed partnership with the YMCA. They will offer child care from six weeks through six years of age right at our school. We are super excited to begin this partnership with them! Birch Lake is also part of the TERI Project through the University of Minnesota. That means that we are able to offer a few future teachers a great opportunity to participate in all of the incredible things we do at our school for an entire school year! Lastly, we have a partnership with the White Bear Lake Center for the Arts. We are very thankful and appreciative for everything that they provide and offer our students in the areas of art. Please feel free to stop by because everyone is welcome at Birch Lake Elementary School! Kind Regards,
