The White Bear Lake Area Learning Center is a non-traditional, diploma based school offering a unique educational setting. It serves a population of students who may be: participating in post-secondary enrollment, are parents, are past high school age, have a day job, are not achieving at levels consistent with their ability, are not fitting in to a traditional setting, or are dual enrolled (at South Campus and ALC) to finish one or more subjects. The program is individualized and student-centered. The current ALC scheduled classes run from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. There is also a dual enrollment program for students to attend after their regular school hours, and an independent study program that meets Wednesdays from 3:30 - 5:30. White Bear Online Program is also available through the ALC. White Bear Lake ALC is committed to engage students in life-long learning activities that will meet their academic, emotional, physical, and school-to-career transitional needs within a community that values the diversity, dignity, and self-respect of each learner.
